I started nydiver over 8 years ago, for the reason that it was hard to get out to clubs meetings.I really wanted to be up to date on all the things going on for diving in the Long Island area. And knowing that you always should dive with a buddy I need a resource to reach out to the local divers when I wanted to go diving and my buddy had things to do. Mainly I want to be part of the dive community and not a week by week club. so thats went NYDIVER started. After the first few years I realized that I made a mistake. My site became a library for research and not a dive community to really know what was up in the area. So I went out and researched things to find the best way for long Island divers to interact is a interactive web site with photo post by divers and chat rooms when you just want to chat about diving or just answer some question in the forum that will help a fellow diver. Nydiver has and alway will be unbiased to everyone , This is a site for all. and can be used to promote anything or any club. As long as its not in harmful intent or not dive related.
